Blue growth is the interconnection between science, conservation and socio-economics of the ocean and its resources, aiming to develop fair and sustainable value for communities. This module aims to 1/ equip students with the fundamentals of marine biology (main patterns, processes and ecosystems) in order to 2/ discuss the opportunity of sustainable development of the Ocean (historical context, the sectors of the blue growth, ecosystem service valuation, conservation management and finance).
